Municipal land licensing program
Every Fall, Strathcona County through its Municipal Land Licensing Program, provides the opportunity for individuals to rent certain municipal lands for use as pasture or hay land. Available properties and tender information are advertised and posted on this page. Strathcona County may consider the conversion of hay land into pastureland; however, this is evaluated on an individual basis only. Not all municipal lands are available for license. Reserves that are available to rent are listed in the package below.
Licenses are for a five-year term, unless otherwise stated. The licensee is responsible to pay annual taxes on the land in addition to the yearly license fees. The license term for this tender package will begin January 1, 2022.
