As we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, amenities and services at Strathcona County facilities need to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. On this page, you'll find a listing of active bylaws, restrictions or safety measures that impact our recreation facilities, as well as measures you can take to better prepare for your visit.

Facility common areas
Please note that any gatherings within facility common areas such as lobbies, change rooms and spectator areas are not permitted. Maintain two metres distance where possible, except while engaged in physical activities.
Fitness facilities
- Masks are required in all indoor settings except for those under the age of 13, if you're actively engaged in physical activity, or qualify for a medical exemption.
- Indoor courts at Glen Allan Recreation Complex can be pre-booked, or you can drop-in.
Child care, youth and teen activity spaces
- Masks are required in all indoor settings except for those under the age of 13, if you're actively engaged in physical activity, or qualify for a medical exemption.
- The Fun Factory and Youth Lounge at Millennium Place and Ardrossan Recreation Complex are closed until further notice.
Aquatics
- Masks are required in all indoor settings except for those under the age of 13, if you're actively engaged in physical activity, or qualify for a medical exemption.
- Masks are not required in the pool area, but must be worn within pool changerooms.
Arena and skating activities
- Masks are required in all indoor settings except for those under the age of 13, if you're actively engaged in physical activity, or qualify for a medical exemption.
- Masks are not required while skating on ice surfaces, but must be worn within change rooms.
- Teams should limit their arrival times and time in dressing rooms to 30 minutes pre- and post-booking time. Consider coming pre-dressed if possible.
- Shinny timeslots at Millennium Place and Ardrossan currently require advance booking.
- Family stick and skate time slots at Millennium Place and Ardrossan currently require advance booking.

Culture facilities

- Festival Place
- During Festival Place performances, we ask that masks stay on while enjoying the performance. Masks may be temporarily removed while eating or drinking.

Monthly pass
Millennium Card (continuous) memberships remain on hold and will continue to remain on hold with no payments being taken until further notice. An interim one-month pass continues to be offered.
