Connection is core to our humanity. While the current public health crisis means that we must be physically apart, Strathcona County Social Action is here to bring you inspiring stories of connection, community and resilience.

This page is a communication tool for the work done in support of the Social Framework. It is a platform to share exciting new initiatives and success stories that demonstrate the lived values of the Social Framework in Strathcona County.

Take a look at our latest social action stories:

Strathcona County Christmas Bureau: The holiday season is a time of happiness, joy and giving. Compared to previous years, this is by far the largest number of hampers that have been given out in Strathcona County.

Big Brothers Big Sisters: Organizations have the power to enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people, and Big Brothers Big Sisters is doing just that. Riley Penner and Mason Nurse share their experience with the program.
